Lightsource Login: Choose the Employee or Manager Portal

Start at the official Lightsource login page. It provides separate routes for employees and managers, so the first step is to choose the role that matches the work you need to perform.

Lightsource describes employee access as supporting personal records such as check stubs, W-2 copies, contact and direct-deposit information, and time-off requests. Its manager route is presented for tasks such as adding new hires, submitting payroll, running reports, and managing time-off requests. Official portal directory.

These descriptions do not establish every user’s permissions or the exact screens available in a particular account.

Choose by Role, Not by Which Page Opens

If you need your own pay information, begin with the employee route. If you have been authorized to administer employees or payroll, use the manager route confirmed by your organization.

A manager may also need employee access for personal records. That does not mean the two roles share the same permissions or login process.

When unsure, ask your company’s administrator which account has been assigned to you. Trying several unrelated portals can make an access problem harder to describe.

A PrismHR Address Can Be Part of the Official Route

Lightsource’s official directory links to PrismHR-hosted destinations. During the public link check, its employee link redirected to a PrismHR employee experience address, while its manager link opened a separate PrismHR address.

The important verification is the link from Lightsource’s own website. Do not decide whether a destination is appropriate solely because it contains the word “PrismHR”; other organizations also use that software.

For this reason, the official directory is a useful starting point when an old bookmark no longer behaves as expected.

Identify the Type of Problem

Describe what happens before requesting help:

SituationUseful next step
You do not know which portal appliesConfirm your assigned role with the administrator
You cannot reach the pageRecord the address and error without including secrets
Credentials are rejectedUse the recovery option actually provided on the verified page or contact the administrator
You can sign in but cannot find a taskAsk whether your role includes that task
You can see a record but believe it is wrongReport the record issue to the responsible payroll or HR contact

A missing permission is different from a password problem. A disputed pay amount is different from a failed login. Identifying the distinction helps the request reach the right person.

New Employees Should Confirm Their Invitation

If you have recently joined, ask whether account setup has been completed and which email address or identifier was used.

Do not assume that creating another account will connect you to the correct employment record. Follow the employer’s verified instructions and ask for help if the invitation is missing or inconsistent.

Employers can use the first-hire guide to include access confirmation in their onboarding process.

Handle Payroll Questions Through the Payroll Route

If a pay statement is available but the amount appears incorrect, note the relevant pay period and the category that needs explanation. Submit the question through your established payroll or HR channel.

Do not post a complete statement in a public comment or send it to this publication. If supporting records are needed, use the secure method identified by the responsible team.

The payroll guide explains how an employer can trace a question to submitted information, approval, and processing.

Keep Account Secrets Out of Support Descriptions

An error message, approximate time, browser, and the stage at which the problem occurs are usually more useful for an initial description than a screenshot containing personal records.

Never send a password or authentication code to this publication. This page explains access routes; it cannot recover an account or make changes on your behalf.

If you believe you entered credentials on an unverified page, notify your organization’s administrator promptly and follow its account-security instructions.
